If you’ve been dreaming of a trip that hits all the Mediterranean highlights in one go, this 15-day cruise is the perfect itinerary. It’s packed with iconic cities, ancient ruins, coastal scenery, and some of Europe’s most unforgettable ports.

You’ll start in Greece, step into history in Turkey, explore Italy’s legendary cities, soak up the luxury of Monaco, experience the charm of southern France, and wrap it all up in vibrant Barcelona. It’s the kind of trip that feels like a greatest-hits tour of the Mediterranean.

Countries visited: Greece, Turkey, Italy, Monaco, France, and Spain

Day 1 to 2: Athens (Piraeus), Greece

Athens is the perfect starting point, especially if you love history. Spend your time exploring the Acropolis, the Parthenon, and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. With two days here, you can also take a day trip to Cape Sounion or even visit Delphi if you want to go deeper into Greece’s ancient past.

Day 3: Ephesus / Kusadasi, Turkey

This stop is a standout. Kusadasi gives you access to Ephesus, one of the most impressive ancient cities in the world. The Library of Celsus is a must-see, along with the Great Theater and the Temple of Artemis. It’s one of those places where you can actually picture what life looked like thousands of years ago.

Day 4: Souda Bay, Greece (Crete)

Crete is a mix of laid-back beaches and deep history. You can visit the Venetian Fortress of Souda, explore the ruins of Aptera, or simply enjoy the island atmosphere and coastline.

Day 5: At Sea

A full day to relax and enjoy the ship. Perfect time to recharge before Italy.

Day 6: Messina, Sicily, Italy

Sicily has a totally different vibe than mainland Italy, and it’s worth exploring. Messina is a great base for visiting Taormina’s Greek Theater, the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento, or simply taking in the beauty of the island.

Day 7: Naples, Italy

Naples is full of energy and culture. Walk the historic streets, visit the National Archaeological Museum, or take a day trip to Pompeii. Capri is also a popular choice if you want something scenic and relaxing.

Day 8: Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy

Civitavecchia is your gateway to Rome, and it’s hard to beat a day in the Eternal City. Visit the Colosseum, Roman Forum, and the Vatican Museums. If this is your first time, expect it to be busy, but absolutely worth it.

Day 9 to 10: Florence / Pisa (Livorno), Italy

Two days here is a major win. Florence is packed with Renaissance art and architecture, including the Florence Cathedral, the Uffizi Gallery, and Ponte Vecchio. You can also take a trip to Pisa for the Leaning Tower or explore smaller Tuscan towns like San Gimignano.

Day 11: Monte Carlo, Monaco

Monaco is small but unforgettable. Walk through Monte Carlo, visit the famous casino, and check out the luxury yachts lining the harbor. It’s glamorous, polished, and feels completely different from the rest of the itinerary.

Day 12: Marseille, France

Marseille is one of France’s oldest cities, with a strong coastal feel and tons of history. Visit the Old Port, see the views from Notre-Dame de la Garde, or explore the Château d’If.

Day 13: Montpellier (Sete), France

This stop gives you access to Montpellier, known for its charming streets, historic architecture, and lively culture. You can explore Place de la Comédie, visit Cathédrale Saint-Pierre, or take a day trip to Carcassonne or Pont du Gard.

Day 14 to 15: Barcelona, Spain

Barcelona is the perfect ending. Between Gaudí’s landmarks like the Sagrada Familia and Park Güell, the Gothic Quarter, and the city’s beach culture, there’s plenty to fill your final days. If you have extra time, check out Montjuïc Castle or the Picasso Museum.

Why This Cruise Is Worth It

This itinerary gives you a little bit of everything. Ancient history in Greece and Turkey, iconic Italian cities, a glamorous Monaco stop, French coastal charm, and a big, exciting finish in Barcelona.
