DAY 2 & 3 | Nairobi | Upon arrival in Nairobi, we'll be greeted by our Safari Director and escorted to Hemingways hotel. The next day, we'll visit the Giraffe Centre, Karen Blixen's former home, and have lunch with Micato's founding couple at their home in Lavington. We'll also tour the National Museum before returning to the hotel. |
DAY 4 & 5 | Amboseli | We'll fly to Amboseli National Park to witness Mount Kilimanjaro's breathtaking beauty. We'll stay at Tortilis Camp, go on game drives, and visit Maasai villages. Our tents, covered in thatch, are located under Tortilis acacia trees and provide a luxurious retreat. We might even observe a parade of elephants from our veranda, much like Isak Dinesen. |
DAY 6 & 7 | Lewa Safari Camp | Located on the Laikipia Plateau with stunning views of Mount Kenya, Lewa Safari Camp is the prized possession of the Lewa Conservancy. It's home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the largest concentration of Grevy's zebra and 130 black and white rhinos. The camp boasts 13 luxurious, thatched roof tents with en suite bathrooms and private verandahs overlooking the breathtaking African landscape. |
DAY 8 & 9 | The Maasai Mara | The tour flies over the Great Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara and stays at the Bateleur Camp or Governor's IL Moran Camp. Activities include game drives, spending time with the local Maasai people, visiting the Mara River and its tributaries, and a hot-air balloon ride above the siringet. The tour also includes a champagne breakfast and the opportunity to see large mammals, crocodiles, hippos, and Africa's stars at night. |
DAY 10 & 11 | The Serengeti | On this trip, we fly to the Serengeti via Nairobi and Arusha, Tanzania. The Serengeti is home to over three million large mammals of various species. We'll spend two nights at either the Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti or Grumeti Serengeti River Lodge, both offering stunning views and wildlife sightings. Micato seeks to introduce guests to these African places that invite slowing down. |
DAY 12 & 13 | Ngorongoro Crater | You'll fly from Serengeti to Lake Manyara, where you can enjoy views of the lake during lunch at Lake Manyara Serena Safari Lodge. Then, you'll drive across the Crater Highlands and up to Ngorongoro Crater Lodge, perched on the rain-forested rim of the Ngorongoro Crater, one of the greatest geographic ornaments. From here, you'll explore the crater's lush caldera floor, which is home to a variety of wildlife. |
DAY 14 & 15 | Depart Nairobi | The trip concludes with a drive to Lake Manyara, a flight to Nairobi, and a day room at The Norfolk or the Four Points by Sheraton before departing for late flights back to the Northern Hemisphere. |

Day 6-7
Lewa Safari Camp
A luxurious eco-lodge located within the Lewa Wildlife Conservancy in Kenya. The camp offers stunning views of Mount Kenya and is home to a variety of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino. Guests can enjoy game drives, guided bush walks, horseback safaris, and cultural visits to nearby Maasai villages. The camp also features luxurious accommodations, a swimming pool, and a spa.

The Serengeti
A vast ecosystem in Tanzania, famous for its vast grasslands and the annual wildebeest migration.
