How long have you been a travel advisor and where are you based?

I’ve been a travel advisor for more than 20 years and I’m based in Tustin, California. I work with clients across the United States to plan cruises, group trips, and custom travel experiences around the world. Over the years, I’ve helped travelers navigate cruise lines, destinations, and itineraries to create memorable and well-organized vacations.

Do you speak any languages besides English?

Unfortunately I do not. But my colleages speak other languages.

Which travel partners are you most experienced with?

I work closely with many of the world’s leading cruise lines and travel companies, including Royal Caribbean, Celebrity Cruises, Viking, AmaWaterways, Princess Cruises, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, Oceania Cruises, CIE Tours, Tauck, and Silversea. These partnerships allow me to recommend the right ships, itineraries, and travel experiences based on each client’s interests, travel style, and budget. My goal is always to match travelers with the cruise line or tour operator that best fits the type of trip they want.

What do you love most about planning travel for clients?

What I enjoy most about being a travel advisor is helping turn my clients’ travel ideas into unforgettable experiences. I love working with travelers to plan trips that often go beyond what they originally imagined, whether that’s through unique excursions, the right cruise itinerary, or special experiences in a destination. Seeing clients return from a trip excited about their experience is always the best part.

Who do you work best with as clients?

I work with a wide range of travelers, including busy professionals, families planning major vacations, couples celebrating milestones, and experienced travelers who want expert guidance. Many of my clients appreciate having a trusted travel advisor who can recommend destinations, coordinate logistics, and handle unexpected issues if they arise during the trip.

What is one insider travel tip you often share with clients?

One tip I always share is to keep photos of your important travel documents—such as your passport, driver’s license, and birth certificate—saved securely on your phone. If documents are misplaced or needed unexpectedly while traveling, having digital copies can make resolving the situation much easier.

What are your favorite destinations you have personally traveled to?

Some of my favorite destinations include Sydney, New York City, and London because of their culture, energy, and iconic landmarks. I’ve also loved sailing on the Queen Mary 2, which is an incredible classic ocean liner experience. For natural beauty, Kauai in Hawaii is one of the most stunning landscapes I’ve ever visited.

If you could recommend one hidden gem destination, what would it be?

One destination I often recommend is the Canadian Rockies, especially Banff and Jasper. The region offers incredible mountain scenery, turquoise lakes, wildlife, and outdoor adventures, making it one of the most beautiful landscapes in North America.

Tell us about a memorable trip you planned for a client.

One of the most memorable trips I planned was a three-week custom itinerary across Australia. The trip included attending the LIV Golf tournament, climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge, diving the Great Barrier Reef, exploring wine country in Adelaide, and taking a hot-air balloon ride in Tasmania. It was an incredible combination of adventure, culture, and unique experiences.
